Laptop stolen during vehicle prowl in Overlake | Redmond Police Blotter, May 3-8

The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Tuesday, May 8
Possession: At 1:47 a.m., a woman in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday, May 7
Assault: Redmond police investigated a report of a domestic disturbance at 6:56 p.m. between juvenile sisters at a residence in the 8500 block of 173rd Avenue Northeast in Education Hill.
Car prowl: Officers responded to a report of a car prowl at 4:10 p.m. in the 15400 block of Bel-Red Road in Overlake. A laptop and a jacket were taken from the vehicle.
Malicious mischief: Redmond police investigated a report of malicious mischief at 2:02 p.m. in the 14500 block of Northeast 87th Street of Grass Lawn.
Theft: At 10:18 a.m., Redmond police responded to a report of a theft at a business in the 3900 block of 159th Avenue Northeast in Overlake.

Sunday, May 6
Theft: Redmond police investigated an attempted theft of a bike at Northeast 74th Street and 164th Avenue Northeast in Redmond Town Center at 5:59 p.m. The suspects were scared off before the crime was completed. Further investigation is pending.
Fraud: A Redmond resident in the 6500 block of 140th Place Northeast in Grass Lawn called the police to report a credit card fraud at 1:55 p.m.
Burglary: Redmond police were contacted at 12:02 p.m. regarding a burglary at an apartment complex in the 15800 block of Bear Creek Parkway downtown. Several small electronics and jewelry were taken. There is no suspect information.

Saturday, May 5
Resisting arrest: Redmond police arrested a man at 5:01 p.m. for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during an assault investigation in the 16200 block of Northeast 83rd Street downtown.
Assault: At 2:59 p.m., Redmond police investigated a fight between two juvenile brothers in the 8400 block of 161st Avenue Northeast downtown. No arrests were made.
Burglary: Redmond police responded to an apartment complex in the 15700 block of Bear Creek Parkway downtown at 10:30 a.m. in reference to a burglary of a storage facility. There is no suspect information at this time.
DUI: A male was arrested for driving under the influence at 2:25 a.m. after committing several traffic violations at Northeast 70th Street and Redmond Way downtown.
Reckless Driving: At 1:18 a.m., Redmond police arrested a man for reckless driving at Northeast 8th Street and 148th Avenue Northeast.

Friday, May 4
Email harassment: Redmond police investigated a report of threats via email at 6:52 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street downtown. No crime was found to be committed.
Marijuana: An adult was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia at 1:16 p.m. at a school in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street on Education Hill.

Thursday, May 3
Missing Person: At 10:09 p.m., an individual in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street on Education Hill reported that their family member, a mentally ill transient, was missing.
Theft: At 2:34 p.m., Redmond police investigated a report of theft of motor vehicle parts at an apartment complex in the 9800 block of Avondale Road on Education Hill.
Shoplifting: Redmond police received a report for shoplifting in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street downtown at 1:47 p.m.
