Redmond has had it’s fair share of hard-hitting, head-scratching crime stories within the last year: A brutal homicide, a missing teen comes home after nearly two months on the run, a naked teen assaults a man in a restaurant parking lot, and a dead body pulled from Lake Sammamish. Well now you can a severed pig’s head found on a Redmond man’s front doorstep. You can check out all these stories on our Web site. It’s definitely been an interesting crime scene lately in Redmond.
On that note, here’s some recent police reports by Redmond residents:
Monday, Nov. 9
Domestic violence: A woman was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend at an apartment complex in the 18100 block of Northeast 95th Street.
Alcohol on the trail: Redmond Police arrested some juveniles and young adults for drinking alcohol near the Sammamish slough. The suspects were later released.
Laptop swiped: Someone smashed the rear sliding door to an apartment in the 15600 block of Northeast 40th Street and stole a laptop computer.
Car prowls: There were two car prowls with a hour of each other in the 5900 block of 158th Way Northeast. In both incidents, the vehicles were unlocked and loose change was stolen.
Locker prowl: A wallet and cell phone were stolen from a locker room at Redmond High School.
Jackhammer highjacked: Redmond Police responded to a burglary call at a business in the 7700 block of 185th Avenue Northeast where a jackhammer was stolen. The suspects were seen on security cameras.
Sunday, Nov. 8
Missing person: A woman who lived in the 6200 block of Portal Way reported that her child had ran away from home. The child was later located in Ferndale.
Radar detector ripped off: Someone smashed the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 15300 block of Redmond Way and stole a radar detector.
Domestic violence: A husband was arrested for assaulting his wife in the 5800 block of 155th Avenue Northeast.
Burglary: Someone entered an open garage in the 6700 block of 151st Avenue and stole fishing and golfing equipment.
Saturday, Nov. 7
DUI: A man was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop in the 15100 block of Northeast 24th Street.
Marijuana possession: Redmond Police arrested a Bellevue resident in the 3400 block of 148th Avenue Northeast for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Friday, Nov. 6
Embezzlement: The manager of a specialty store in the 16500 block of Northeast 74th Street was arrested for embezzling approximately $7,000 from the store.
