Police arrest woman for possession of a stolen vehicle | Redmond Police Blotter, May 24-29

The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Redmond Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Redmond, which gets more than 500 calls (emergency and non-emergency) per week.

Tuesday, May 29
Assault: At 1:19 a.m., Redmond police responded to a call reporting an assault at a business in the 2100 block of Bel-Red Road in Overlake.
Recovered stolen vehicle: Redmond police investigated and arrested a woman in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Grass Lawn at 1:17 a.m. for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Monday, May 28
Trespass: Redmond police responded to a trespassing report from the 17200 block of Redmond Way downtown at 6:48 p.m. The suspect was arrested.
Public drinking: Redmond police arrested a transient man at 1:26 p.m. for drinking beer in a city park in the 7800 block of 168th Avenue Northeast downtown.
Vehicle prowl: At 8:29 a.m., Redmond police responded to a apartment complex in the 16300 block of Northeast 81st Street downtown reference to a car prowl. The victim’s window had been smashed and he was missing two bags.

Sunday, May 27
Assaults: Redmond police responded to two assault reports. The first came at 12:14 a.m. from the 17800 block of Northeast 65th Street downtown. The second report came at 7:58 a.m. from the 8300 block of 167th Avenue Northeast on Education Hill. A female was assaulted by her boyfriend during an argument. The suspect fled on foot before the police arrived.

Saturday, May 26
Theft: A juvenile male from the reported at 11:13 p.m. that his skateboard was stolen at a park in the 7000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast of Grass Lawn. No suspects have been identified.
Shoplifting: At 11:50 a.m., Redmond police responded to a shoplift report at a business in the 15200 block of Northeast 24th Street in Overlake. Suspects were not located.
Vandalism: At 7:34 a.m., it was reported that unknown person(s) threw a white powder on numerous vehicles in a parking lot in the 15700 block of Bear Creek Parkway downtown.

Friday, May 25
Vehicle prowl: At 9:03 p.m., Redmond police investigated a vehicle prowl in the 7000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Grass Lawn.
Fraud: Redmond police responded to a fraud report at 5:29 p.m. from a bank in the 15800 block of Northeast 85th Street downtown. The case is under investigation.
Grand theft auto: At 4:26 p.m., Redmond police responded to a reported vehicle theft at 4:26 p.m. in the 13400 block of Northeast 115th Court in Grass Lawn. The suspect has been identified.
Theft: Redmond police investigated a reported copper wire/pipe theft at 9:59 a.m. from a construction site in the 11500 block of 178th Place Northeast on Education Hill.

Thursday, May 24
Suspicious circumstance: A woman in the 8000 block of 146th Avenue Northeast of Grass Lawn reported at 10:46 p.m. that an unknown male followed her as she was walking her dog.
Harassment: At 7:42 p.m., Redmond police investigated a report of a suspicious subject selling magazines door to door in the 10800 block of 181st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill. The male was arrested for making threatening statements to one homeowner.
Shoplift: Redmond police responded to a business in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill in reference to a shoplift at 12:20 p.m. As the suspect fled the area in his vehicle, he struck another vehicle.
