The police blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the Redmond Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. Monday, June 25
Suspicious circumstance: At 5:54 p.m., Redmond police discovered two transient camps in a city park at the intersection of Redmond Way and 154th Avenue Northeast downtown.
Shoplifting: Redmond police received a shoplifting report from a department store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Overlake at 4:29 p.m. A female was detained and released in the field for the theft and will be cited through investigation for stealing $400 worth of perfume.
Vehicle prowl: Redmond police responded to a vehicle prowl report from the 16600 block of Northeast 92nd Street on Education Hill. The report came in at 3:38 p.m. but the reporting party was unsure where the actual crime occurred. There are no suspects.
Assault: A complainant reported at 12:02 p.m. that he was assaulted by another motorist following a traffic altercation between them at Northeast 70th Street and 176th Avenue Northeast downtown. Officers contacted both parties and obtained conflicting statements by each driver.
Grand theft auto: A business in the 19100 block of Union Hill Road downtown reported at 7:36 a.m. that one of their company vehicles was stolen. Two additional vehicles were prowled at this same location. The stolen vehicle was also loaded with numerous tools.
