Arson: A city parks employee reported two different fires were started in the men’s and women’s restrooms at Grass Lawn Park when he went through a routine check at around 8 a.m. The fire was out before the parks employee arrived, so Redmond Police believe it happened overnight, according to Redmond Police spokesperson Jim Bove. A similar incident happened Nov. 19 at around 5 p.m., when Redmond Fire responded to a Grass Lawn Park restroom and extinguished a small fire. In both incidents, paper products were used to start the fire. “We don’t have any information linking the two situations, but are suspicious that they are related,” Bove said.
